The Living Knowledge Database  is a free, public accessible resource for science shops, community-based organisations, universities and funders world-wide. The database is an interactive 'information warehouse', providing users with resources and tools related to community-based research.

The database is the only on-line resource that brings together information on the science shops and community-based research activities from around the world. You can go to the Living Knowledge Database and enter information about your organisation! The Living Knowledge database will be searchable on organisation, people, country and (thematic) expertise in community based research all over the world.

The database will be most useful for all of people searching for information on science shops or community based research if you all enter your information and maintain your own information on a regular base. To keep the database updated and clean, with information of relevant organisations the  input it is moderated by the International Science Shop Contact Point. Once a year all organisations will be asked to check and correct their information to keep the database up to date.
